Guest guest
Harih Om! Sri Raghava's message reminds me a story related to an old woman devotee lived in Pandaripura. She is an ardent devotee of Lord Panduranga. She did exactly what Sri Raghava wants to do :-) She has got such a devotion towards Lord Panduranga that she never does any work with out offering the fruit of the work to Lord Panduranga... After performing the work she would finish the work by saying "PanduraMgArpaNamastu" -- means "I offer this to Lord Panduranga". Everyday she wakes up early in the morning at 3AM and does the housecleaning work. She was living in a thatched roof, mud walls kutia. The walls are painted with cow dung paste as was the custom those days, and also cow dung paste is applied in the front yard of the house. So everyday in the morning after applying the cow dung in the front yard, the remaining pulp she used to throw aside saying "pAMDuraMgArpaNamastu" - I offer this to Lord Panduranga. What the helpless Lord can do! He can't escape from his own promise... He said he will accept anything which is offered to him with pure devotion in Gita... :-) So everyday early in the morning, Lord Panduranga's statue was getting drenched in the cow dung... And the Administrators of the Temple becoming furious and speculating on various conspiracy theories, thinking on who might be the culprit, who is insulting Lord Panduranga in such a way. Finally they have decided that it is none other than the head priest doing all this, because he is the only one who has access to the Santum Sanctorum! So they put him in Jail. That head priest is an innocent. He is also worried that somebody is insulting the Lord. Then he prays Lord Panduranga to show a way so that he could prove his innocence. Lord Panduranga appears in his dream and explains him that one of his devotees is offering cow dung paste and he can't refuse her offering because of her total devotion. The head priest, having known the cause for the early in the morning cow dung ritual, requests the administrators to go with him. They all go in search of this old woman and finally they find her in front of her home just finishing applying the paste. She was about to throw away the remaining pulp by saying "PanduramgArpanaM", the priest goes and prostrates in front of her saying "Please don't Please don't".... Lord Panduranga also personifies in front of her at the same time and gives her liberation.
