Guest guest
Namaste, This year Gita Jayanti is on the day of shuddha ekaadashii [11th day phase of the waxing moon]. For those who would like to know more about ekadashi, the URL below would be useful: http://www.hindu.panchang.i12.com/ekadashi.htm Regards, s. advaitin , "sunder hattangadi" <sunderh@h...> wrote: > Pranams to all Fellow Pilgrims, > > We are being blessed by another opportunity to pay our homage > Mother Gita: > > December 7, 2000 maargashiirshha shuddha ekaadashii [mokshadaa > ekaadashi] > > is GITA JAYANTI day. >
Guest guest
Dear All, Harih Om! Exactly 11 years back my teacher advised me to take a vow on this Gita Jayanti day. I vowed that I will read at least one sloka per day and contemplate on it for minimum 5 minutes. And I am still continuing doing it. When in trouble I open Gita and the answer is there always. For me, it is a book of healing. It silently heals the wounds caused by the samsara. Please try to take a resolution and read at least one sloka per day and contemplate on meaning. Also when you are feeling down, depressed just open the book and see what it advises you. I am telling this to you from my experience, you will not be disappointed by the noble Gita. I remain yours, Madhava
