[i shall be updating the master file in the next week or two.] aashrama = a hermitage; one of the four stages of life [student, householder, &c.] apratibandhaka = without obstacle bhakti = devotion brahma-j~naanam = knowledge of the Ultimate Reality dama = restraint [of organs of sense and action] drashhTavyaH = ought to be seen Jaimini = the compiler of aphorisms relating to Karma [Vedic rituals] kartavyaani = ought to be performed dutifully manana = contemplation mantavyaH = ought to be meditated on Nachiketa = the central figure in Katha upanishad, [the ideal disciple] nididhyaasana = constant remembrance nididhyaasitavyaH = that to be remembered without interruption praj~naa = wisdom pratibandhaka = impediment, obstacle saadhanaa = discipline entailed in trying to understand Reality sampattyanantaram = after acquiring the 'wealth'[sampatii+anantaram] shama = tranquillity shravaNa = listening shrotavyaH = that ought to be listened to sthirapraj~naa = steady wisdom vidhi = ritual rule or obligatory, assigned vij~naanam = knowledge of Reality confirmed by experience yasmaat = wherefore Regards, s. advaitin , "K.
