Read a fascinating interview with the director and artist. After studying to become a monk for 20 years, he decided to become a filmmaker in order to raise public consciousness, eliminating dialogue and putting in the impact and scope of something can resonate at that base level, inside a person's heart chakra. The result was the film "Koyaanisqatsi" When it came out in 1983, it was declared a masterpiece of epic proportions.
