Very good quote Miguel. It is by commitment and fixation that

we are all here as we pray to be freed from the bondage.

sunder hattangadi [sunderh]

Namaste,

Stating this poetically:

[Verse 21 from "sat-darshana bhaashhya", by 'K', 6th ed. 1975, Sri

Ramanashram]

vidheH prayatnasya cha ko.api vaadaH

tayordvayormuulamajaanataa.n syaat.h .

vidheH prayatnasya cha muulavastu

sa~njaanataa.n naiva vidhirna yatnaH ..

On Fate and Effort They are given to talk,

That know not whence come forth the two.

Those that know the source of both

Beyond the twain are they, by Fate untouched and by Effort too.

Regards,

s.

Beautiful verse Sunderji! Will pass it on.

Love

Harsha

One Tibetan lama put it like this to someone who believed in free will:

"You are forced by karma to believe in free will."

Namaste Frankji,

I don't know how or why three messages of mine appeared

without any content I posted!

Anyway, Frankji, this should remove your scare COMPLETELY!

The quotation is in fact the sanskrit version of Maharshi's original

Tamil work, Ulladu Narpadu!!

Regards,

s.

sri sundarji-

a.k.a. "sat darshanam"...

yes, i realized it after i wrote that, as you'll

notice from my follow-up.

at any rate, to me, the maharshi was (is!) the

clearest teacher.

great to see your lightning-ready references and

insights into his words..
