Many thanks to S. V. Subrahmanian for the excellent post on 'thorn to remove

a thorn' - superbly clearly and logically presented. And to Frank for his

impassioned plea not to reject the world as non-existent; glad you decided

to send your 'last weeks post' after all - don't give up just because you've

been trying without sucess for 4 years; you're not failing! (Thanks too for

Gummuluru's more sobre reinterpretation.)
