Guest guest
I must confess I did not read all of this post from 'Infinite Freedom' but I also downloaded the article referred too some time ago and read about half. There is obviously some good stuff there (how could there not be with all of the quotations from Sri Nisargadatta and Ramana Maharshi? However... I picked out just one small section: - <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< The intense desire for freedom is what is needed to put an end to these and other ego notion preservation strategies. Just imagine if your desire to end the ego notion were a million times what it is now. Then imagine what it would be like of the your desire to end the ego notion were a million times that. Oh how the priorities would then change! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What I do not understand is just who is having all of this intense desire? The one who is having intensive desires is the one who is having the urge to realize and it is the same one who also complains that he does not understand! Someone asked me in my class - if ego is false who realizes - I just left with the answer that one who is asking the question is the one who realizes, since realization is as false as the ego. But within their realm they are as real as themselves. On the second thought, from your understanding your question should not also arise. Since you do not to free-will, the intense desire should arise in response to the situation at hand spontaneously as vector product, it is not? Or am I mis-interpreting? Hari Om! Sadananda -- K. Guest guest
Sorry, Sadaji - the question was rhetorical. I was damning the author with faint sarcasm! I apologise for resorting to such tactics!
