Guest guest
=========================== Tamra Temple Louisiana Dear Tamra, This site contains a paper meant for a junior your east west religion course that was based on the experiences of yoga and the non-dual and references texts of others with the same experiences. If you're interested, I can send you some other related works. That which we are all seeking is always at hand and immanent. It's a matter of somehow isolating that part within the muddled mix of the mind. By reading the explanations and expressions of others that have isolated the Truth in their consciousness, it helps each of us to also discern that True part within ourselves, like being a panhandler shifting through the sand to find the gold. All the Traditions are teaching the same Truth, but it's a matter of somehow hearing that Truth that is the task, and this hearing is the most essential element. "Those who have ears to hear, let them hear what the Spirit has to say..." is the whole point. But by reading, possibly engaging in some practices to stabilize the mind, and considering, suddenly that which is True within our consciousness, our own non-dual Self, the self we use to say "I" with in relation to all our thoughts and activities, becomes isolated and there is a sense of recollection and awakening to That part which is always awake. The text at this website may be helpful, because it tries to needle a thread through the on-dual heart of each Tradition to isolate the single Truth within each of us, while referencing books of those that have isolated the same experience. http://www.nonduality.com/pieter.htm Pieter =======================
