Guest guest
Namaste Born and raised in Singapore. 27 of years of age. First introduction to Hindu Dharma at the age of 15 when I took Hinduism as a GCE 'O' level subject in High school. Soon after lost complete interest in it until I read the works of Swami Vivekananda which struck me like a lightning. I realized that Vedanta is not just a school of thought but something relevant to MY life. My knowledge is based mainly on the books from the Ramakrishna Order and from the talks delivered by visiting Swamijis from the Chinmaya Mission like Swami Swaroopananda and Swami Mithrananda. The two great purushas who have propelled me to study the scriptures properly were Swami Suddhananda and most importantly Swami Dayananda Saraswati. Presently I am learning from the lectures on tattva bodha by Swami Dayananda Saraswati and his Bhagavad Gita home study programme thru the help of Br. Satyakama, a disciple of Swamiji. While studying Vedanta, I realized that I am far more ignorant than I thought I was. And it has given me a better/clearer perspective of life.
