Guest guest
This body is called Radheshyam. I am a member of Chinmaya Mission Washington Regional Center(CMWRC), and attending regularly Vivek Chudamani class at Chidamberm's house in Alexandra, VA since it started. This class is taught by Swami Dheerananji, Resident Acharya of CMWRC every Tuesday. Dr. Sadanand also taught this class when Swamiji was unwell, and was in India for a long duration. I am enjoying DR. Sadananda's notes on Brahmsutra, and this digest. Can some body explain me different philosophy like Dvait, Advait, Vishtadvait, and many others? I only know the difference between Dvait and Advait. Love, Radheshyam
Guest guest
Namaste! In due obedience to submit introduction,I humbly comply- with the following: I was born in India to a very devout parents. My father was a judge but very religious.I obtained B.E. degree in Civil Engineering with the first batch from Govt.Engineering College,Kakinada in 1950,with honours.I joined the Central Water Power Commission,Government of India in New Delhi in 1950. I had the good fortune of working very closely with eminent engineers in the country in designing major dams and hydropwer projects.I was particularly fortunate in working very closely like a son with eminent Dr.K.L.Rao,who later became Minister for Irrigation and Power in the cabinet of Jawaharlal Nehru.I was deputed to US Bureu of Reclamation in Denver Colorado by the Govt of India in 1956 as a USAID fellow.I also obtained Master's degree from the University of Colorado.I had to return to India to serve the country until 1969,when I came back to USA to obtain Ph.D from the Colorado State University.I stayed here since then, working with Engineering Consultants International(ECI) for nearly 32 years.I had the opportunity to visit and work in many countries in Latin America,Europe and Far East as well as India as a consultant for World Bank,Asian Development Bank,UNDP and USAID.To me Karma Yoga means enjoying all opportunities to serve humanity as the blessings of the Lord. Although I have been fairly successful in my career by God's Grace,I was always restless and most of my mind was searching very intensely about this mysterious wonder called life. Before I could become completely bewildered,God guided me to Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh in 1951.I had been saved by His compassion (Avyaja kaarunyam).I wrote many letters to Swamiji and received prompt replies everytime.I walked with Him and talked to Him,visiting the ashram again and again.Swamiji"s Love did many many saving miracles in my life as well as many others,of which I was a personal witness.I was blessed to be present during Swamiji's Mahasamadhi day as well as His Centenary Celebrations in the Ashram in Rishikesh.Swami Chinmayananda was present on both the occassions, besides ofcourse Swami Chidananda.Later I met Swami Kalyananda Tirtha Swamiji of the Bhadra Kali Peetham in Sapta Sarovar who became my persomal friend and benefactor. My wife although a Doctor by profession working in Army hospitals,is a devout Hindu who teaches me and our children Indian culture and Devotional worship, and herself sets strict example by practising our wonderful culture and tradition always,of which she is more knowledgeable than me.Our daughter is Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon and is working in Merck.. To my humble mind,Advaitin,Visishtadwaitin or Dwaitin philosophies all really convey the same truth, although there is also beauty in appreciating diversity like everything in this wonderful God"s Creation..Our son chiranjeevi (Sivananda) Mohan Sagar grew up in USA right from childhood, and is a civil engineer in the CDOT..In spite of all handicaps due to not knowing any of the Indian languages,he is extremely well versed with Sri Ramanuja's teachings and philosophy. He adores and worships Sri Ramanuja and is well known in Bhakti and Prapatti groups.Sri Chinna Jiyyar Swami regularly blesses him by correspondence as well by staying with him whenever the Jiyyar Swami visits Denver.
