Guest guest
Namaste. I am yet to see a good picture of Krishna teaching Gita to Arjuna in the battlefield. All the pictures I see are shown with horses having no energy as if they just got up from sleep. Sometimes, even Krishna and Arjuna also are shown as if they are just about to go to sleep. Long time ago, I read from Swami Vivekananda's works a description of how a good picture might be. For example, the picture has the following: All the horses are puffing with great energy with front two legs in the air and trying to pull the chariot vigorously. With front legs and half the front body in the air; back legs pushing thr ground very hard trying to go free. Krishna will be holding the reins very tightly and thus controlling all the horses easily. Krishna at the same time with head turned back towards Arjuna with a beautiful smile and teaching him. Arjuna is also shown as a hero with heroism showing thru each of his gestures at the same time obedient to Krishna and listening to Gita most attentively. ... Just some thoughts ...
