Guest guest
Many of the posts on this list, in the recent past in particluar, border on, if not completely in line with, nihilism. I just wanted to point out that Shankara, the Master par excellence, has sharply condemned this approach in his sUtra-bhAShya (just wait patiently until we get there). This approach is exactly like trying to dig a hole (or well) in dry sand, or like quick-sand as has been pointed out on this list. Even during Shankara's time, there was a class of "thinkers" who advocated nihilism. So there is nothing new here. It all ends in utter confusion and nothing else. It kind of reminds me of the technique used by unscruplous students trying to defend their theses in front of a committee. "If you can't convince them, confuse them." By confusing the committee, they hope to get their theses approved! Anand
