Guest guest
I truely lament Sandeep's exclusion from posting to the list. I was finding his thoughts very interesting, and I don't think his language was that offensive (maybe because English not being my mother tongue it didn't shock me). Guest guest
Dear Miguel: I agree with your contention that Sandeep's thoughts were quite interesting. But I disagree with your observation that his language was not offensive. Besides me, many members of the list agree and support Sri Gummuluru's decision. Please understand that Sri Gummuluru gave the option to Sri Sandeep to post with moderation. Also Sri Sandeep has not been expelled and he is still a member and enjoys the privilege to continue his postings with the stipulated conditions. Laws are part our life and we have to obey them whether we like them or not. If we want to drive our car on the highway, we have to follow the traffic rules and we have to be considerate to the fellow citizens using the same highway. Another example can be drawn from the Basket-ball games. Even the most talented player is not exempted from violating the rules of the game. For violations players get penalty and with more penalties they get expelled from the game. Also when everybody plays basketball no one (however talented he/she may be) will be permitted to play soccer! regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "Miguel Angel Carrasco" <macf12@w...> wrote: > I truely lament Sandeep's exclusion from posting to the list. > I was finding his thoughts very interesting, and I don't think his language > was that offensive (maybe because English not being my mother tongue it > didn't shock me). > > Miguel-Angel
Guest guest
Our Dear Atman, Sandeep seems a soul needing light. God may bless him and dispel his darkness. Could anything more obnoxious or outrageous be written? Where's the outrage over such a statement? I heard a friend of mine say today, "I'm so grateful I have worked to *lose* my sensitivities and intolerances. Now I needn't put any put any energy into *protecting* them." That seems to just about say it all. So many here seem to place high value on the practice of ahimsa. Please pardon the suggestion: that freeing oneself of intolerances and judgments could be the most 'nonviolent' practice one could undertake. But that would turn the focus back on oneself, rather than some other "dark soul", wouldn't it? Ed
