Akasha-Story about Tesla and Vivekananda

I noticed there was a recent enquiry about the meaning of "akasha". The

May/June issue of "Hindusim Today" that I received yesterday has an

interesting story on Swami Vivekananda and the famous inventor-scientist

Tesla. It seems Swamiji asked Mr.Tesla (in 1893) to confirm own view that

the two Vedantic concepts of "akasha" and "prana" -which Swamiji understood

represented matter and energy respectively- are really one and the same.

Tesla, who the article says knew that akaska was matter in "tenuity" (subtle

form?), however could not confirm Swami Vivekananda's intution about the

unity of matter and energy at that time.

This is an interesting article not only for revealing the scientific

intuition of Sw.Vivekananda which foreshadowed Einstein's theories to come

some twenty years later, but also for the real genius that Mr. Tesla was.

The article also sites a website www.pbs.org\tesla\.

Hope this might help some and whet the appetite in others.
