Guest guest
Adhyaatma interpretation is the only correct interpretation of the Vedas. It is the esoteric interpretation only for a chosen few. The rest are exoteric interpretations, and are for the mass. We are studying here the esoteric significance and interpretation of the Vedas (samhita portion) and I personally see it, that with that sort of interpretation, the Vedas become the highest mystical text ever existing, the only book to become a religious book for the whole world, it contains the highest truth, which even transcends (but doesn't clash the least with) the scientific experiments. The Vedas, if seen with adhyaatmika interpretation, are the more radiant than the sun. I have studied Upanishads, Gita etc. Hindu scriptures, and have looked in to the testaments, the Koran, but non stands similar to them, in their mystical content. However, Upanishads are just explanations to those Mantras. No one can understand the Veda Samhitaas, in their Adhyatmika significance, until he has not studied the Upanishads. Indeed, it would not be improper to mention it here, that Jarathushtra's Gaatha (a part of Avesta) stands similar to the Veda Samhitaas, I'm saying this, though I have really nothing to do with Parasi Religion. The cause of this similarity is that Jarathushtra was in fact called Jaradushtra Sphitatama (Jaradushtra the radiant one) and he was indeed a Rishi related to Atharva-veda-samhita, which has produced great Rishis, like Pippalaada of Prashna Upanishad and Shaunaka of Mundaka Upanishad (not the one mentioned in the Puranas or Mahabharata). Jaradushtra's name is very identical to Shwetaashwatara, which is also a great seer of the Upanishads. Therefore, this is my appeal to those, who are discussing about Vegetarianism in here and always saying that meat sacrifice is taught in the Vedas, that they should not state something about the Vedas, which doesn't exist in them, this only shows their ignorance of the scripture. However, it should be clearly mentioned, that Veda-related scriptures, and not the Vedas. I would again clearly like to mention Bhagavan Vamadeva's Mantra, "he who doesn't know that Supreme Being, which exists in the letter of these Mantras and which exists in the highest space, and in which the entire world and all the radiant objects reside, what will he do with these Mantras? They are utterly meaningless to him. But indeed he who know that Supreme Being, he penetrates deep and deeper in to them". (Rig-veda 1-164-39). My Dearest Friends, the see of the Vedas is bottomless, the sky of the Vedas has no frontiers, the earth of the Vedas bears the entire creation, the Sun of the Vedas enlightens the entire universe, the path of the Vedas is for everybody, and the teachings of the Vedas are useful on every plane and level of one's life. Shankaracharya is one amongst thousands of those, who benefited from these scriptures called Vedas, if you all could look at your linage and at your ancestors, you would find endless among them. Today the Vedas have been forgotten, but what they are, I don't know if really the world would be able to know it ever. But I just hope that one day would come when these Greatest Scripture would be understood in their true significance, it would be in the favor of mankind. Otherwise, science without adhyaatma is heading towards self-destruction. If the destruction is not done by the politicians or solders, I'm sure our own mother nature is going to destruct us, if she sees that we are not obeying her rules. Therefore, I again plead our honorable members of the list, they should be more serous, with knowing that they are discussing and handling a very very deep subject. Shankaracharya and Vedas are two different terms, but they mean the same. I hope you understand what I mean. Loving Regards, Siddhartha
