[1:2] Total love for the Lord demands nothing, not even liberation. Nobody else; nothing else; no one else; but Asmin. Nobody else; nothing else; no one else; but Asmin. Nobody else; nothing else; no one else; but Asmin. Nobody else; nothing else; no one else; but Asmin. but Asmin ! 'asmin' – no specific name is mentioned. Usually, specific names are Brahman, Atman, Iswara, Rama, Krishna,Shiva… 'that' indicates both manisfest and the unmanisfest; the immanent and transcendent; with form and without form. 'Tu' in the ordinary or lower love, a lover expects a return. Narada distinguishes the 'ordinary love' and the 'pure divine love' by 'Tu'='indeed'. Love is the relationship that grows in joy and ecstasy between the lover and the beloved. Thereafter it becomes a bond that holds them together into a permanent intimacy in joyous abandon. --- Ramakrishna Mission's Narada Bhakti Sutras and Swami Chinmayananda's discourses on Narada Bhakti Sutra are used. The books can be purchased from the Missions. ---- /\ /\ /\ Raghava
