Guest guest
Harsha-ji, You had posted: "A true sage requires that you face your sorrow so thoroughly and intimately that it disappears in the very understanding of itself. I was under the impression that its understanding the CAUSE of the sorrow that will make it truly disappear, and all else is but a band-aid instead of surgery. Here, its said that understanding the sorrow itself is what causes it to disappear. Please clarify the difference and help me understand this better. Thank you, Shuba You might be right Shubaji. I do not know much about any of that and would not be able to shed any light for you. The lines you quoted and responded to were posted by someone else (quoting from Ramesh Balsekar). I was responding to a different part in the same post where Ramesh Balsekar was distinguishing between the so called "ordinary seeing" and some "special" or "intuitive seeing." Here is the original quote from RB. "The ordinary way of seeing is totally inadequate. A very special kind of seeing is needed for comprehending Reality, an intuitive seeing wherein it is seen that there is nothing to be seen and no one to see it." I was simply pointing out in my original post that the distinction being made between "ordinary seeing" and some "very special kind of seeing" is rooted in ignorance. "Ordinary Seeing" and "Special Seeing" and "Intuitive Seeing" are all contrived distinctions. Reality Permeates All "Seeing." Love to all Harsha
