Hard mountains have melted to rivers at her sight;

Clouds have gathered from all over

To form a cover of gentle cold air

Just enough for a light drizzle;

Scents from flowers are sending perfumes into the air;

Grass has become smooth to lay her tender feet on;

Peacocks stopped dancing and are looking with wonder;

Cobras are beholding the sight with raised hoods;

Lions are kneeling down like pet cats at her feet;

 

Somewhere in the heavens Angels remarked,

"What is that 'light' coming from far across ? "

 

Sita just smiled in her Kuteeram (cottage)

And the whole universe missed a beat and

Celebrated the divine smile /\
