Dear list members,

 

As you all know, today is the sacred 'Adisankaracharya Jayanthi'

which is celebrated in all the advaitic mutts. Sankaracharya , in

the course of His short life span of 32 years achieved what others

cannot even dream of. In the commentaries on the three principal

sacred texts of the Hindus namely, the Brahma Sutras, Upanishads and

the Bhagavad Gita, Acharya has expounded the true import of the

scriptures.Acharya has authored such brilliant texts like viveka

chudamani, soundarya lahari ( a mantra sastra text ) and subrahmanya

bhujangam which is capable of removing diseases, etc.

 

In this sacred day, let us seek blessings from the Guru,
