Guest guest
Actually the discussion about the role of karma and jnaana in liberation. I'm of the view that all karma, including Atma vichaaram is only in the realm of ignorance. Only abiding in oneself is jnaana. And for the last two weeks or so, Jaladhar and I have been slanging it out - as is usual there's a lot of heat generated in the course of the discussion. But some positive things have come out too. But the discussion is slowly losing direction. Very soon, I plan to post a consolidated account of this discussion on Advaita-L, so that I can present a clear picture of the topic to readers and wind it up. I'll post it here too. In my opinion very few people understand the full significance of ajaativaada - as explained by Nagarjuna and Gaudapaada. That's the base on which the psychology/metaphysics of Advaita is built upon. Without really understanding Ajaativaada the Advaitic way cannot be clear. Maybe in the days to come, I'll try to start a series on Ajaativaada whose conclusion is that the world is "like a city of Gaandarvaas (supernatural beings)" - an illusion.
