Guest guest
Namaste: Let me add some additional points to reflect my understanding. Swami Dayananda Saraswati explains the distinction between "Ishwara Sristi (God's creation)," and "Jiva Sristi (human creation)." Ishwar Sristi is the part of mAyA or Brahma Lila and Jiva Sristi is due to the influence of 'vasanas.' For example a banana fruit is Ishwara Sristi but some of us creates our liking and disliking for banana. Our perception of banana varies and we call bananas as 'good,' 'bad,' 'ugly,' 'rotten,' etc. In the previous verse, the 'shining shell' is Ishwara Sristi where as the non-existing 'silver coin' is jiva Sristi. For our understanding, we can classifies objects as (1) created by the Ishwara and (2)created by the Jiva due to ignorance. This classification is again at the Vyavahara level of existence. At Paramarthika level, Brahman alone exists and that comes by gaining the wisdom of the Ultimate Truth. regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, Vivek Anand Ganesan <v_ganesan@Y...> wrote: > |Hari AUM| > > Atma Bodha Verse 08 : > upAdAne akhilAdhAre jaganti paramEshvarE | > sargasthitilayAnyAnti budbudAnIva vAriNi || > > Translation : > The material cause and the support of all the worlds is the > Supreme God. > [The World] arises, rests and dissolves [ in to the Supreme > God ] just as bubbles in water. Ram - we discussed some aspects of this when we talked about whether the objects really exits or not - in waking or deep sleep etc. Both jiiva and Iswara shrishhTi are due to vaasana-s - the first one is centered on individual and the second one is centered on collective vaasana-s which we use vaguely the term objective reality. The first one is termed avidya and second one is termed as maaya. Jiiva is engulfed by avidya and Iswara is maayaavi or the master of maaya or maya is parameswara shakti - since in consitituting Iswara, sarvaj~ntavam, sarva vyaapakatvam, sarva shaktitvam and sarva shrisshTitvam are crystallized as the locus. Jiiva's avidya includes not only the seeing shrishhTi but notion that it is real and different from him. Jiivanmukta sees the plurality but has no notion that the plurality is reality. He knows He alone is real. > >For our understanding, we can classifies objects as (1) created by the >Ishwara and (2)created by the Jiva due to ignorance. Not only that wisdom that "I am that Brahman" since I cannot dismiss myself under any circumstances, while I can dismiss the world as well as the creator of the world along with it! Hari Om! Ramji I realy like the way you gave explanation on Iswara sristi and Jeva sristi. The examples realy gave a good understanding between both. Absolutely, Iswara created Banana and Jiva created "banana split, banana Cake, etc acording to its like and dislike which caused by ignorance. I have read the shinning shell, Vyavahara and paramamika mentioned in the 1st Tamil sastra "Nana Jeevavaathe kattalai'".
