Guest guest
Dear karthik, it is wonderful to be a new born child for the pureness is so profound that everyone aspires to be childlike (but many end up becoming childish). Well! but i don`t think that it is quite sound to hold that a child that passes away attains moksha. If it is so, then the country with the highest infant death-rate should be the holiest country because of the largest number of liberated souls. Child-like state of purity is commended even in the Upanishads where the stress is on the Child's unattached pure state of mind with no Raga and DVesha. other aspects of a child like physical untidyness, uncivic behaviour etc. are NOT considered for goal setting. A child's pre-matured death is an act of its own karma, it follows logically that it HAS to be born again to exhaust the residual karma in its next-birth. Moksha is an offspring of complete obliteration of doership etc. it is not normally possible to expect that a child that breaths its last has acheived this. it is generally viewed that the impressions are there even in a child but in a latent form which manifests as it grows. hope you understand what i have tried to say. if you say no then ( to put it in your mail id style ) i have to say - `i am back to square one '. thank you.
