Yes, it would indeed be nice to see systematic exposition of VivekacUDAmaNi, which, in my view, is one of the best prakaraNagranthA-s. Personally, I have to make an additional request in this. I would like to see, in addition to verse by verse meaning and translation, some commentary as well which will be a feeder to ensuing discussions. The List and I look forward to your presentations. There is a saying in telugu that says that 'devenu penDliki andaru peddale' which means "For the God's marriage everyone is a VIP". Any contribution that benefits all is glorious contribution. - No need to ask - take the rains and proceed. In advaita-L, ff I remember Shree Vaidya started series on VevekachuuDamani and I am not sure how far he proceeded. You can contact him or get the info from archives of adviata-L if that system is working. HariOm! Sadananda -- K. Guest guest
Namaskaram. I found as I was making notes that I was highly incompetent to undertake such a task. I find that every time I read it I find something new - such being the case, I felt I would be doing the series in justice. I would however gladly welcome the member to also post his series on advaita-l as well for the benefit of members. bhava shankara desikame sharaNam Vaidya. - > Message: 19 > Mon, 23 Jul 2001 12:52:50 -0700 (PDT) > Krishna Prasad <rkrishp99 > Re: Vivekachudamani Notes > > Hari OM! Vaidya - if we go by that criteria then no contemplative student can write on any thing. What you mentioned is should be the case and is a positive sign. One who concludes one closes his mind. In aadhyaatma vidya the more one contemplates the more the truth gets revealed. One should write what one knows and offer it at the feet of the Lord as kaikarya. One can improvise as we contemplate. I urge you to work with Sree Krishna Prasad to continue the series on VivekachuudamaNi. Hari Om!
