Betreff: AW: A Clarification on the few Questions

Reminds me something I heard somewhere:

What never questions for anything, but gets very hardly pressed for answers

all the time?

A DOOR BELL :-)

If your call is not answered there are only two possibilities (a) Either You

are pressing the wrong door bell -- or (b) People living inside the

household are not in a position to hear you. :-) In case of this Advaitin

list the possibility of point "B" never arises.

Advaitin list objective is to discuss the Philosophy taught by our Great

Acharya Sri Adi Shankara. Now the question, are we ignoring the vedas by

indulging more in discussions? In my opinion, the answer is NO! However,

you don't get to see much discussions on the other subjects, otherthan

Advaitic philosophy, because you can't discuss everything under the Sun!

We respect all the paths. Of course, we are the believers of that great

Rigvedic saying "aanO bhadrO kratavO yaMtu vishvataH" - Let noble thoughts

come from all the sides. Which ever is noble, what ever does good to the

humanity --- is always welcome. In that perspective, Advaita not only

talks/teaches about the highest goal that a man should attain, but also

indirectly points out "how to achieve peace and hormony in the present day

living society"... So I believe by discussing Advaita we are making a human

a noble human; we are making a man a happy man!

"yastu sarvANi bhootAni aatmaivAbhoot vijAnataH

tatra kO mOhaH kaH SOkaH Ekatva manupaSyataH"

Harih Om tat sat

I remain Yours,

Madhava

May be the solutions to many of the problems

that surround us, lie on the way. My point was

if this is the case are we forgetting to take

notice of what naturally lies on the way ? May

be in the Quest of the "Self", solutions that we

often hopelessly seek, knock at our door, is it

likely that, many a times, we don't even hear

the knock ?

Regards

Shrinivas
