Guest guest Posted August 4, 2001 Report Share Posted August 4, 2001 Dear Shri Sanjay, Frankly,I do not know the traditional meaning of a Kayastha.But I can however tell you the meaning of a Dvija (twice born)who becomes such after he undergoes the Upanayanam Ceremony.All humans are the same(having been born they grow,they procreate,they age and they die only to be born again to do the same things again---recurring!!!) until any one has the Upanayanam done when he is born again and goes about as a Brahmachari in quest of Brahman (His own reality)under the guidance of a proper teacher. I feel certain that you are a Brahmachari and are on the right track and Shri Uday Acharya and Shri Ram Mohan will lead you to your destination. Are you stationed in Bombay?
