Bruce Hilliger <sarada

 

Namaste,

 

Just a little about myself because I want to receive the advaita

emails. My name is Bruce Hilliger,aka Swami Atmavratananda, aka Swami

Bruce aka Ananta. I am a disciple of Swami Bhashyananda, former

director of the Chicago Vivekananda Vedanta Society and Founder of

Vivekananda Monastery & Retreat in Ganges, Mi.

 

I lived, practiced sadhana at and helped build the monastery in

Ganges, Mi. from 1975-1985. I was given sanyassa vows in the

Ramakrishna Order of Monks in 1985 from Swami Vireswaranandaji. We

were the last batch of young sanyassins he gave the vows to before he

left the body.

 

I lived at and directed the Atlanta Vedanta Society in Atlanta, Ga.

from 1985-1987. From 1988 to the present I have been the spiritual

director of SRV (Sarada Ramakrishna Vivekananda) Retreat Center in

Greenville, NY. (http://www. universaltemple.org.)

 

I am also the moderator of the Vivekananda Mailing list

(http://www.universaltemple.org/3version/VML.html). It consists of a

daily message from Swamiji's lectures. We are presently studying

Swamiji's Paper on Hinduism, which he gave at the Parliament of

Religions in Chicago in 1898.
