Dhara Upasana in chandogya

Namaste,

 

Could anyone clarify - whether the Dahara Upasana as eloborated in the

concluding part of the chandyoga Upanishad, is actually an Upasana or is Brahma

Vidya itself. i have reasons for this doubt.

It is my understanding that the terms vidya and upasana are

equivalent and interchangeable. Have they been defined differently

somewhere?
