Guest guest
Namaskar There is a tamil saying ' Yaan petra inbham peruga ivvayabam' which translates roughly to 'Let others enjoy what I have enjoyed'. That is the reason for my posting. Browsing the internet I came across the web site of Yoga Malika (http://www.yogamalika.org). Quoting from the site "The site offers you logic based techniques to improve the quality of every day life. By unleashing the infinite potential within you. And by using the time tested bounty of Vedic Literature adapted for modern day living.". Yoga Malika site currently has six excellent speeches by Swami Paramathananda and I have listened to this repeatedly in the last few days. (I understand Swamiji is a disciple of Swami Dayananda Saraswati. Apart from this I know very little else, other members may fill up the gaps). When you click on audio, you can listen to the individual speeches in real-audio( a high speed DSL or Cable connection will help). Couple of speeches worth mentioning are: 1. What is Happiness (New Year 1999) is based on an article by Sri Sivabhinava Narasimha Bharati Swamigal, 33rd Sankaracharya of Sringeri Peetam - an analysis of the four purushartas (dharma, artha, kama and moksha) with a new approach. 2. Dealing with Worry (New Year 2001) is a superlative analysis of the universal problem of 'worrying'. Swamiji uses a combination of superb logic and Shastras to dissect 'worry'. I think this speech is an excellent example of Stress Management Technique - the vedic way. regards Sundar Rajan
Guest guest
Namaste! Let me add what I know about Swami Paramarthananda. He teaches weekly classes at various places in Chennai. Details can be obtained from the Sastraprakasika office in Mylapore. There is a book on the caste system in Hinduism based on one of his talks - the title is 'Chaturvarnyam' -I found to be an excellent book providing clarity on a controversial and sensitive subject. There are also a set of 10 chanting cassettes available at Sastraprakasika -'Divyanadam' - they contain the rudram, gita, dakshinamurthy puja, various stotrams, upanishads, etc. All the chanting is done by Swami Paramarthananda. rgds, Adi advaitin, avsundarrajan wrote: > Namaskar > > There is a tamil saying ' Yaan petra inbham peruga ivvayabam' which > translates roughly to 'Let others enjoy what I have enjoyed'.
