Guest guest
Namaste to all my spiritual friends, First of all, let us use the recent terrorist outrage to meditate more on the meaning of life and death, and the appropriate rational and spiritual response, both at the private and public levels, rather than give in to natural but unacceptable human feelings. Let us also make an honest effort to understand everyone's point of view. Second, at the risk of seeming presumptuous, since I am in no way a scholar of Vedanta, I would like to share the following line with you as one of many possible encapsulations of the Vedantic 'attitude' to spirituality: "Even if we do not believe in God, or even know what the word 'God' is supposed to mean, it is evident to all of us, with only some slight calm reflection and intuition, that consciousness has a divine nature." In other words, we should realize the self-evident miracle of consciousness, rather than confine our thoughts to mere factual and utilitarian statements.
