I have personaly experienced this and so have my friends. these incidents however small /minor point to a growing hatred among certain anti social elements in the US culture... let us try to get together and think of ways to counter this with reason and education . Let us know what you feel should be done . -bala

We have our bigots like any country, but all such acts are reprehensible. The level of intelligence of such people is to think anyone with a turban is from the Middle East! I wept when I heard some poor Sikh was shoot by someone obviously thinking he was an "Arab." I think our prayers can do much, but I have personally also gone out of my way to comfort and reassure both Indians and Middle-Eastern people here in my apartment complex, and in my city, that I come in contact with, that such actions are utterly ignorant and evil, and I have apologized for my fellow Americans. It must especially be difficult for Arabian-Americans, who are as loyal and good American as any ethnic group. I can also assure you that many churches are working together here in American to counter this ignorance, and the good that is coming out of it is a coming together of Muslims and Christians and Jews, to find out common humanity and divinity. Best wishes, and let us pray that the one Light shall enlighten the dark places in the hearts of men and women of the world. Steve
