Guest guest
A gist of this, as per my teacher, is that the fasting on the Ekadasi removes the sins committed due to the five karmendriyas, the five jnAnendriyas and the mind - totaling 11. Also, the Srimad Bhagavatam is a good source of information on this. Refer to the story of Ambhareesha and Durvasa. bhava shankara desikame sharaNam Vaidya. -----Original Message Mon, 17 Sep 2001 "Narayanan" <courtallam ----- > Can anyone tell me the origin and significance of observing fast on > Ekadasi day. > > I would also like to know the origin of "Vada Mala" offering to > Anjaneya. > > Hari Om > Narayanan _______ Get your free @ address at
