Thanks for raising your concerns and helping the moderators to take

appropriate actions. In future, instead of replying to the list,

please send your concerns to any of the moderators directly. I also

noticed that while replying please do not quote the entire message

(such political messages shouldn't get repeated!)

 

Sri Gummuluruji, the Chief Moderator of the list has already provided

explanations. Let me add some additional points. With 500 plus

members, the list becomes a target for abuse and the moderators are

fully aware of it. At present, list doesn't have resources to impose

moderation to every member of the list. More than that, this is a

great place to learn responsibility and we do expect all our esteemed

members to be considerate to the feelings of the fellow members. The

list policies are repeated on the first of every month. Also if a

member violates the list policy, that member's status becomes

"posting with moderation" instead of normal "free posting." All new

members are moderated for an indefinite amount of time.

 

I hope that I explained my position as a moderator of this list. I

believe that all members can help the moderators so that we can search

for the Truth without losing our freedom to express and at

the same maintaining discipline and civility.
