Guest guest
Dear sir, In my opinion chanting helps to reinforce the ideas contained in the text. The more and more u chant it is likely that u may start practicing a little of it. And gita is such shastra that its one shloka , in some cases a quarter shloka can transform your life. It is like short note prepared from all shastras combined together. namaste jaynkbali On Sun, 11 Nov 2001 k s wrote : > hello > wud u please care to explain? > kishore--- big_mart_98 wrote: >
>

> > advaitin, k s <t00234> > wrote:
> > dear friend,
> >
> > the gita is holy. the slokas, per se have the > power to
> > give you some selected results- why ? evry > sound > in
> > this world has a prescribed result upon > chanting. > the
> > words have vibrations.
>
> Thanks for that, Kishore, but I believe that, by the > time of the
> Gita, the Vedic tone system had been lost. > Therefore you do not chant
> it but recite it.
