Dear Friends,

Here are some quotations from Various Vedanta Books given by Brhamanda

Swami Shiva Yogi oF Alathur given in his book Moksha Pradeepam:=

1.Mind is the chief God giving all sorts of wealth and all sort of strengths.Any

action which does not keep it in control is useless. Yoga Vasishta

2.Relations, learned people and great books on Shastras can not be put in a high

pedastal. he who is the slave of the devil called mind. Yoga Vasishta

3.For everything , mind is the reason, When mind is awake, all the three worlds

are there.When it dissolves , everything becomes one. Yoga Vasishta

4.Mind is the reason for attachment and detachment.When it goes in to matters of

the world, it is attachment.When it is still, it is detachment. Brahma Bindu

Upanishad

5.A detached mind is redemption.He who wants moksha, should detach mind from day

to day life. Brahma Bindu Upanishad

6.Till mind dissolves in self , keep it under control.When it dissolves it is

Gnana or Moksha Brahma Bindu Upanishad

7.When mind becomes cold , The world is pleasant.When it is hot with wishes, The

world is not worth living. Yoga Vasishta
