Guest guest
Dear Atmachaitanya, Kundalini Shakti is the Self Itself. Who knows what Shakti traditions you're talking about. It's due to assertions like this that people put aside the experience of the Self for idle discussions about what it could be or might not be. Through the various practices of Kundalini Yoga, the field balances and the reflected consciousness becomes pure, still, single and bright. In this brightness a force of intuitive Intelligence shines forth as the essence of Truth. Suddenly, the mind inverts and drawn in as though by a powerful graviton, reflects the Self in the Heart (Hrdayam). With this experience, "...the whole body is filled with Light." The distinction between inner and outer fade and you aide as That, without distinctions or separations, without concepts, "... empty, clear, self-illuminating..." The use of the mind (attention) to see and know dissolves, similar to the use of the moon to see, once the sun is risen, even though we might see the ful moon in the clear blue sky. Dear Sri Harsha, <<edit>> ....But rather it describes the direct method by which an aspirant is to turn his mind inwards and obtain the Direct Experience of the Non-Dual Self. It has nothing in common with a yogis attempt to raise his Kundalini, nor with the practices of any Shakti tradition, because there are no Shakti traditions which even recognize the existence of a Non-Dual Self. Personally I'd be worried if that happened.
