Now to the question "(Is it really the 'Method of Vedata' to ask the question 'Who am I'?)??"... Each and every advaitic teacher will chose his own way on how to teach his followers. And Ramana Maharshi has his own way that is "Who am I". Is it really the "Method of Vedanta"? --- I would say "Yes". It is not just Ramana Maharshi who has questioned that way, there is this famous story in Vishnu Purana where --- Lord Brahma after taking birth in the lotus which came out of Lord Vishnu's nAbhi, started wondering "Who am I" and then started searching for the answer. So Ramana Maharshi is not new, this kind of/method of questioning started with Lord Brahma. Yours, Madhava
