Meaning:

The Lord of vedas, the Lord with skin (clothing), the

Lord having the growing moon on the long matted hair,

ornated with the skulls - apart from thus speaking

your glory, (even if) the devotees have flaws, you do

not care about that ! Oh the One in thirun^eDuN^kaLam,

remove the hurdles faced by the highly principled

perfect (devotees).

 

Notes:

1. The Lord is called "Asutosha" - Onw who is fast

pleased. Lots of purANa episodes including that of

pradoSha, suggest that Lord shiva gets pleased very

easily provided there is sincerity in worship.

"kuRaiyuDaiyAr kuRRam OrAy" is a beautiful depiction

of the Lords this Supreme Grace on pashus !

2. This great song is in the form of pleading the Lord

to clear all the hurdles of the devotees who with

superior motives, come to serve.
