Namaste All,

These were some posts on effect of meditation on promoting

good health. Since this is quite an interesting and also an

important topic felt it deserved a new thread.

Here are some thoughts:

OM

1. Our bodies are nothing but a projection of an aspect of

our mind.

2. A healthy body indicates that those aspects of our mind

that project themselves as our body are functioning in

harmony.

3. A holistic way of looking at a health problem is to view

it as an opportunity to harmonize some particular aspects of

our mind.

4. In this loka, that is here on earth, it might not a good

idea to pursue goals of unlimited life, everlasting youth etc.

(This is my present view).

5. A good ideal is a healthy childhood, youth, oldage and

a smooth transition out of the present body. Striving for this

goal is not asking for too much.

6. There is a natural tenedency for our bodies to follow

the path of healty ageing. Diseases that imedepe this natural

path can be removed via meditation or yoga in general. I am

sure Hatha yoga teachers will have valuable advice to offer

in this regard.

7. Healty body is not in contradiction with spirituality. Listening

to signals from the body, giving attention to the body, etc.

should also be viewed as a part of our sadhana.

OM

Best regards
