Guest guest
Extract from Swami Ashokananda's "Psychology of God Vision" In our present state the senses run after sense objects; whether you get those objects or do not get them, in either case you get burned by the senses and their objects, and you wonder how you are going to escape. You escape by learning to be quiet. That is the great art. Learn to be quiet, learn to feel the deep things within. You will then begin to feel your own nature as something different from the body, different from the senses, different even from the mind as we usually know it. As I have endless times pointed out to you, the mind as you know it is really and echo of the body, of the senses. The thoughts that it thinks, the desires that it conceives, are all supplied by it by the senses; that mind is no good at all. But we get separated from it. Yes, wrong things may still rise in the mind, but they can no longer pull us down; we are no longer identified with them...... Commentary:- "The mind as you know it is really and echo of the body, of the senses - that mind is no good"........ What an insight!!
