(Then) There will be no blaming. Notes: 1. There was a famine time. At that time God gave appar and sambandhar a coin each at the west and east altars of the thiruvIzimizalai temple respectively. With that the two great saints of Shaivism used to provide the food driving away the hunger of the devotees. But there used to be a delay in providign food at sambandhar's monastery comapred to appars. It was because the shopkeepers dilly-dallied a lot to accept the coin from his monastery saying it was flawful. Sambandhar praised the great service motto of appar. To provide food to the devotees in time then on, he decided to pray the God to give flawless coins. He sang this padhikam praying to get perfect coins and he got the coins then on which were eagerly taken by the shopkeepers. 2. This padhikam is sung for victory in legal tussles and prosperity of elder brothers. (The complete padhikam is available through http://www.shaivism.org/pal.htm) ===== --------------------------- Visit Shaivism Home Page at http://www.shaivam.org --------------------------- I said I gave my body - became far off from guru's teachings I said I gave my mind - became far off from the linga I said I gave my wealth - became far off from the devotees There is nothing more disasterous than the disaster I got ito by saying "I did for You", kUDalasangamadEva ! - basavaNNa Great stuff seeking new owners in Auctions! http://auctions.
