My teacher told me once while travelling in a train: Getting students to listen vedanta is a part of Guru's karma prarabdha... All that is there in this world is ignorance. It is ignorance to presume that a person who is wearing Orange robes is a Mumukshu or a sanyasi. It is ignorance to think that the people who put up a show of false bhajans are true devotees... AND it is our ignorance to sing Suprabhatam early in the Morning to Lord --- for if he ever sleeps then we get pralaya :-) It is better to live an ordinary life like that of Dharmavyadha (refering a butcher story told in Mahabharata) than to be a Hypocratic Guru. All that we can do is surrender to the system (of what ever) we believed and pray closing our eyes and your ignorance is dispelled --- you may ask why closing eyes! Incidentally, that is what we do when we go and stand infront of our Lord. When you close your eyes you first see the darkness, but that darkness belongs to the world you always perceive.... But once the ignorance gets dispelled --- even if you close your eyes you become a "sahasrAksha" Lord of Infinite eyes (refering Purusha Sukta). Realization has got nothing to do with this world. Whether you realize or you didnt not realize doesnt matter to this world... So all that you can do, if at all you want to live as a part of the society then follow your Dharma! Chinmaya Mission or for that matter any other Mission has got a Dharma, that is to Teach the Vedantic Knowledge to the Seekers. Social Service organizations have got a Dharma -- that is to serve people. This world is a big cycle of Dharma. Everybody has to undergo it. Those who are following the Dharma are better than those who putup a show. Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge. Yours, Madhava
