Meaning:

The Lord, the One like the gold that shines naturally

even without melting, shoal of diamond, marble that

reflects as it is, bathes in five substances (from the

cow). Oh fools, what are going to gain by worthless

talks ? Fondle, hail mazapaaDi surrounded by good

featured buildings.

 

Notes:

1. Most of the active time gets spent in talking for

various reasons. How much of all these talks are

beneficial to the self ? Why not the time and energy

spent in non-beneficial talks be spent on praising the

Glory of the Sweet Supreme ? From avam (bad) it will

lead us to shivam.

2. thEvAram authors refer in their hymns the name of

the Lord in an abode or the sthala purANam etc. Here

the name of the Lord vayiraththUN nAthar (Diamond

pillar Lord) is referred in the hymn.
