Guest guest
Namaste Sri Madhava I sometimes think that there are some teachers, Gurus, who, while they live in God, may not be particularly skilled with words and may not be able to express clearly, in words, what they know clearly, in their hearts. I know one such man in London. If you just sit quietly and relax you can feel a wonderful Presence around him. But his words are full of logical errors and don't really add up to anything. Turumella advaitin Saturday, March 02, 2002 12:19 AM AW: To Shri Warwick and others Reminds me the experience I had with Mr. Subash from Austria! When first I came to Berlin I was just curiously looking around the satsang places. I came accross an advertisement written in German "satsang mit Subash". I went in the evening to listen what he has to say. The first day there were 6 people, which includes me, Subash and his wife, and the host and his wife. I can sence the knowledge of conviction from Subash.
Guest guest
Namaste Sri Warwick: Good to hear from you and I do agree with what you have said here. Peace or happiness is very personal and 'one size can't fit all.' Some get peace just reading or watching, or listening and or just sitting. What sparks one's happiness or peace is mystical and it is beyond judgment by others. We can't generalize and state that this is the medicine for everyone. What is medicine for some can potentially detrimental for others and we have seen lots of such instances in the news. The subtle message of Advaita philosophy is that only with His Grace, we can attain everlasting peace. There is an interesting quote on happiness that I remember: " Happiness (Peace) is like a butterfly, just by chasing we can't get it, but with no attempts, it may just come and sit on us!" warmest regards, Ram Chandran advaitin, "Warwick Wakefield" <nomistake@o...> wrote: > Namaste Sri Madhava > > I sometimes think that there are some teachers, Gurus, who, while they live in God, may not be particularly skilled with words and may not be able to express clearly, in words, what they know clearly, in their hearts. > > I know one such man in London.
