Guest guest
Friends Those of us who are devotionally inclined may be interested in these two ashtottara-Sata-nAmAvaLis in the archana form. I know them from my father's note books and have seen him use them daily. They are rare in the sense that I have not yet met anybody who is aware of the existence of these. I have posted both of them, both in deva-nAgari script and in international phonetic script. I have not attempted any translation because, the first one on Durga-Lakshmi-Sarasvati is rather easy and I don't want to insult the intelligence of readers here by translating it; the second one on Hanuman is rather a difficult piece and I dare not translate it lest I do it wrongly. But I enjoy repeating both the archanas and I am sure there may be some in the list who would love to do the same. Guest guest
Dear Prof. Krishnamurthy, I did try several times to download the Sanskrit font from the link http://acharya.iitm.ac.in/software/iitmed.html when I read your first message about the Durga-Lakshmi naamavali. However, the download link failed to get activated. This morning again, I tried without any luck. I am very much interested in the naamavalis because I am a devi bhakta primarily and Hanumanji is my second "passion". I don't understand why both are playing truant and refusing to grant me their grace by enabling this download. In the circumstances, will you kindly suggest an alternative or, else, if I am not asking too much, can transliterations be made available? Thanks for the wonderful material you are providing us through this forum. Best regards and respects. Madathil Nair ________________________ -- In advaitin, "V. Guest guest
This is in reply to Madathil Nair who reports that the download link for Sanskrit fonts does not get activated. It ought to work. It works for me and it works for two local friends with whom I am in contact. I give the web addresses once again. First go to http://acharya.iitm.ac.in/software/iitmed.html When you hit the Download Page button it will take you to http://acharya.iitm.ac.in/software/editor_download.html On this page there is a form to be submitted. You have to give your e-mail address and write that the purpose is for you to read Sanskrit documents Once you hit the Submit button, it takes you to the page where the download button iitm_editor.zip is available. That gives you what you want. I hope it works now. If still it does not work, then I will have to send you the transliterated version by e-mail. But I don't know whether e-mail will transmit the phonetic script as it is with all the diacritical marks. Please let me know after one more trial. Thanks. praNAms to all advaitins, profvk
