Guest guest
Namaste You may choose to buy 'The Book of Hindu Imagery: Gods, manifestations and their meaning' by Eva Judy Jansen. This book may help you as it does cover both standing, sitting postures, mudras and other symbols associated with Temple idols. But I must mention that this is not an exhaustive book on Hindu Imagery, nevertheless a highly commendable effort. Here is the link to the book at Amazon.com and a few sample pages: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/9074597076/qid=1018400110/sr=1-4/ref= sr_1_4/002-4022432-6110403 Kathi > > Ram Chandran [sMTP:ramvchandran] > Wednesday, April 10, 2002 3:21 AM > sudhirreddy2000; Advaitin List > Re: significance of lord images like standing > sitting or reclining in temples > > Namaste: > > I request knowledgeable members to clear the question posed by > Sri Sudhir.
