Meaning:

Without worshipping the Feet of Lord smeared in ash

throughout the body, thought I could be well off and

wandered carrying the pot with lost sense ! I stupid

(cheat), not folding hand to worship Lord of ArUr,

where the cuckoos coo and peacocks dance in the

bloomed floral gardens, instead of ripe fruit got

hold of the immature one !

 

Notes:

1. This song is sung by the saint lamenting the

time he wasted away from shaivism.

2. As each of the songs in this padhikam end with

an adage, this is called pazamozi.

3. mey - body; chaNNiththal - smeared; uRi - pot

(of jains); uzitharudhal - wander.
