Namaste Sunder,

Many thanks for this.

Came across a book two days ago 'The Vibrating

Universe' by N.C.Panda Motilal publishers. This

links quantum Theory with Spanda etc. in a very

thorough and careful exposition. Much to be

recommended.

If Swamiji is with you, please pass on my best wishes

for his happy travelling,

Namaste!

Physics and all other empirical sciences will continue to take well-

deserved bashings as newer and newer researches emerge. But, that

is not going to make the scientist see the light of reason. He will

still continue to grope in Ignorance, for Ignorance is his fodder!

Do we also not need Ignorance in order for us to reamin advaitins!?

Let us, therefore, thank the scientists and enjoy our mutual

symbiosis as they systematize Ignorance and "tend to move inexorably"

towards Truth which they can never hope to really reach with even

their most sophisticated equipment and theorizing, of the present or

the future.

Pranams.

Namaste,

Whatever 'ism or ology' we find ourselves following

there is a central question to be sought. At the

moment, for me, I cannot read any greater wisdom than:

keneshitam patati preshitam mana.h kena prAna.h

prathana.h prathama.h praiti yukta.h

keneshitam vAcam imAm vadanti caksu.h shrotram ka udev

o yunakti

'By whom impelled does the mind sent forth fall? At

whose decree does the first breath go on its way.

Inspired by whom is the word they speak? And who is

the god that directs the eye and the ear.' Kena Up.1

Whether the journey appears to be outwards towards the

field, prakriti, or towards the knower of the field,

can there be any other prime mover than the desire

(decree) of that about which 'we know of no method of

instruction'?

All we need to discover is how to let go of the belief

that it is from our own volition.

By whose will is this site maintained?

Best wishes

Ken Knight

Happy studying
