Meaning:

The complete ground reverberating with drums,

on the tower-balconies melodious yAz (string

instruments) resonating town - thiruppanaiyUr.

There with the white moon moving on the

matted-hair, with the ones in the sky and the

earth worshipping, One Who stood as the Eldest,

only He is beautiful.

 

Notes:

1. The Heart-stealing Lord showed His dance

to cundharar. Lost in the beauty of the Lord,

cundhara mUrthi nAyanAr sang this padhikam.

2. muzavam - mRitangam/drum; paNNi yAz -

yAz that best produces the paNs (melodies).
