Guest guest
Simplicity is the sign of a genius. Complicating things suggests a confused mind [or a show off mind!]. Ramana Maharshi's statements and explanations were so simple and clear. De Mello is also a master at that. Love Jan ---------------------------- Enlightenment through understanding - Anthony De Mello This is how the Master once explained the fact that Enlightenment came not through effort but through understanding: "Imagine all of you are hypnotized to believe there is a tiger in this room. In your fear you will try to escape it, to fight it, to protect yourselves from it, to placate it. But once the spell is broken there is nothing to be done. And you are all radically changed: So understanding breaks the spell, the broken spell brings change, change leads to inaction, inaction is power: You can do anything on earth, for it is no longer you who do it." But remember Bhagavaan Ramama's teachings are so simple he himself is the best master to make his statements clearer and why need of another to interpret the simple and clear statements. If we understand Ramana we understand the truth. There is nothing more direct than that. Guest guest
Namaste. Well said, Sadanandaji. Bhagwan has packed all advaita in these two works. In fact, UpadesasAra is very musicial too. One can just sing it. And, if the meaning is understood, it is just thrilling and exalting. Poojya Dayananda Saraswathiji just enthralls his audience singing these verses melodiously. Best regards.
