Guest guest
Dear advaitins, It is a pleasure to welcome Professor V. Krishnamurthy (ProfVK) to the list of moderators. He is a scholar of not only mathematics but also Vedanta. Arjuna asks in 6th Ch.what happens to the one who dies without fully realizing the state of absoluteness. And Krishna appropriately answers that nothing will go waste – he will be born in a family what is most conducive for his rapid growth towards the goal. Krishna also tells us that, that kind of birth is very rare indeed. For us the statement of Krishna has to be taken as at face value although the statement is extremely logical. Prof VK confirms to us Krishna’s statement. His father, Shreeman R. Visvanatha Shastri was great advaitin and birth in such a great family of scholars is very rare indeed. Prof.VK is not only a scholar of advaitin but great son for his parents to be proud of. He has been continuously translating his father’s works for the benefit of the public, which would otherwise be lost to the public. I have to learn a lot form Prof. VK. The utility of adviatin list is incredible. Through the list only, I became acquainted with many great people in this list, Prof. VK, Dennis Waite, Nanda Chandran to name a few and I met all these personally because of the list. I feel humble when I meet all these great advaitins. I cannot forget the beautiful moments when I visited Prof. VK in Madras. I have to be thankful to him for organizing my talk at Madras on the logic of spirituality and also providing a synopsis of that talk to this list. With great pleasure I welcome Shree Professor V. Krishnamurthy to this list as moderator. Hari OM! Sadananda ================ Prof. V. Krishnamurthy has been a Prof. of Mathematics at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
